Dr. Patel is a Diplomate certified
with the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric
Medicine. She is experienced in clinical care, education, and research.
She was born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania and moved to Richmond,
Virginia as a teenager. She received a B.A. degree in Chemistry with
Biological Specialization from University of Virginia. She completed
her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Ohio College of Podiatric
Medicine. She then completed a rotating primary care residency with
Richmond Hts. Hospital in Ohio. Afterwards she completed a Primary
Podiatric Medicine Care Fellowship with emphasis on clinical management,
educational development, and research development. She was then an
Assistant Professor at the Ohio College Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Patel
moved to Kennesaw, GA and founded Cobb Podiatry, P.C. in 2005.
Specialty areas
include: foot pain,
diabetic foot evaluation and care, infections, wounds, nail and
skin conditions.
